The popular reality tv star and selfie lover is suing the website "mediatakeout.com" and its owner Fred Mwangaguhunga for libel.
After the terrible incident that occurred in France, Kim Kardashian returned to the United States to a surprise package that was waiting for her. An online gossip site had posted some articles accusing her of lying and theft.
Kim was relieved of $11 million worth of jewelry by two masked men on October 2 at her Paris hotel, according to local authorities.
The articles claim she "faked her robbery, lied about being assaulted, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company"
"Kim Kardashian was assaulted and robbed by two masked men, who placed a gun to her head, duct-taped her hands, legs and mouth, and then left her lying helplessly on the bathroom floor of her rented apartment while the thieves absconded with millions of dollars in jewelry," Brettler writes. "As though she hadn't suffered enough at the hands of those masked men, Defendants made it worse by publishing on the Website just few hours after the assault, that she (Kim Kardashian) faked the robbery and then committed insurance fraud by filing a false claim with her carrier."
Kardashian is seeking general, special, punitive and exemplary damages.
There hasn't been any response from the website as regards the lawsuit that was filed against them.
